I am 9 years old and I like horse riding. My favourite horse is Blue. Every time I ride him, he goes very well and tries his best.

The Earthquake Drill.
This morning, Room four had an earthquake drill.
When Mrs Thomson said, " Earthquake," everyone dived under their desks. Mrs Thomson did too. We had to Drop, Cover and Hold.
When Mrs Thomson said it was safe to come out, we slowly walked to the middle of the field.
I'm glad that we had an earthquake drill because now we know what to do in a real earthquake.

The Sailing Trip.
On the 17th July, 1996, two little girls named Ashleigh, aged 4 and Jaimee, aged 29, went on a sailing trip.
After they had watched the weather, they set off.
When they got to their boat, they immediately put it in the water and sailed off. They sailed right out of Auckland and right into fog.
When they finally got out of the fog, Ashleigh said, ’’Land ahead.”
They sailed to the island.
When they got to the island, Jaimee said, “I’ve got some mince in the boat. Why don’t we have that for tea?”
Ashleigh said, ”Yes.”
After tea, they went to sleep.
The next day, they woke up and had cereal for breakfast and sailed back in the direction of the wind.
When they found Auckland, they cheered.
At last, they got onto the sand and they pulled their sailboat out of the water and they went home and planned their next sailing trip.

New Zealand's Olympic Legends
The Kiwi Crew
During the Olympics, I watched Nathan Cohen and Joseph Sullivan win the gold medal in the rowing in London, in the 2012 Olympic Games.
First, the Kiwis sat in their canoe and waited for the alarm to go off. Just then, it went, 'Beep!' They were off!
The calm, blue water swayed calmly and slowly from side to side.
Suddenly, it was the last 200 metres and the Kiwis took the lead.
As the finish line got closer, the Kiwis paddled a bit faster and they crossed the line. The Kiwis were the winners. "Yay!"
As the long, thin oars slowed to a stop, the crowd cheered.
As the black clothed men got out of the boat, they climbed onto the wharf and dropped with exhaustion.
The Kiwis had won the gold medal. The Kiwis were proud that they had won the gold medal.
